  • Description: The film was made by a certain S. Leon, representative of Gaumont company, who came to Greece from Egypt in 1906. He opened a photography and cinematography studio in Athens, and, during the intercalary Olympic Games of that year, he filmed the daily arrivals of the VIPs, sporting events, etc., which he would then exhibit later that night at Parnassos Hall. It is also known that the same cinematographer took an interest in scientific and medical subjects as well: in the archives of Evangelismos Hospital a film of a caesarian section was found.
